INSURANCE AND REAL ESTATE

Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Insurance & Real Estate Overview
The Insurance and Real Estate program is designed to provide the student a theoretical and practical foundation in the principles and practices of insurance and real estate. Students will be prepared to perform effectively in the insurance and real estate industries. Program features include real property valuation, insurance practice in the economy, and practicality in sales, management, and the total support systems.

Please refer to the Degree Requirements located at the above tab of the same name and the Degree Checklist which can be found at the Curriculum tab above. In the Brochure tab above you will find the suggested course sequence for the BBA degree in Insurance and Real Estate.

All Insurance and Real Estate majors must earn a grade of “C” or better in each course in their field of concentration and maintain an overall Grade Point Average (GPA) of 2.0 or higher.

Special Programs
After taking six courses (18 semester hours) required of all Insurance and Real Estate majors, students choose between two concentrations depending on their personal interests and career goals: Financial Planning or Real Estate. Each requires five courses (15 hours) for students to earn their BBA degree.
