The Delta State University Garrett Lee Smith Memorial grant, funded through the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), is promoting suicide prevention as well as implementing campus wide training programs to identify students at risk for depression, substance abuse and potential suicide precursors and funnel them into an appropriate coordinated response procedure.
