Websites should be reviewed on a quarterly basis, whenever substantial revisions occur, or whenever a complaint is registered regarding a site. All sites should comply with the Delta State University Web Policy.
The following are the items that should be checked when conducting the review. When you make changes or update your site please make sure that you are following these guidelines.
Appropriate use of approved DSU Branding: Each website must be consistent with the DSU Graphic Standards Policy. For more Information about official trademarked logos and branding, contact Communications & Marketing.
Maintained by Statement:
All pages must contain a signature block with the following information:
-The name of the unit responsible for the page with an email link to a global address or
-An e-mail link to the person responsible for the page.
Campus Mail/Phone Number
Organizational homepages must include the Campus Mail Box, Office Building and Number and telephone number of the organization's main office or an obvious link to this information. Telephone Number must include the area code. (e.g. 662)
Accessibility

Authoritative Links
Organizations creating pages should provide links, if necessary, to pages containing authoritative information outside their areas of responsibility (i.e. policies, admissions, University mission and history, etc.) rather than creating the pages themselves. This is to ensure that the most up-to-date and accurate information is being provided.
Proper English
Careful attention to spelling, grammar, punctuation and word use is required.
Commercial/Non-DSU Activities
Pages located on university servers may not be used to promote commercial activity, personal business, non-profit organizations and/or religious groups (except those organizations approved by the Office of Student Affairs) or to promote personal financial gain, except as may be permitted by other University policy or regulation.
FERPA
DSU pages should not contain confidential university information or student information covered by the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) unless adequate security measures are in place to restrict access to authorized persons.
